BUSI2500U: Business Simulation and Analytics

Semester: Fall

Offered: 2023

Functional business areas such as Finance, Accounting, Production Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Marketing and Sales are coordinated using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. An experiential approach in this class uses hands-on learning using the SAP S/4 HANA ERP system with ERPsim, a team-based business simulation game. Here you will learn how to manage companies from end-to-end using the actual SAP ERP system in a real-time simulated competitive environment and will learn the processes, gain technical skills with SAP S/4 HANA and playfully learn how Enterprise Systems facilitate Business Analytics which can be used to strategically manage a company in a competitive environment. Learners in this course will experience management, teamwork challenges, design thinking, data visualization and presentation activities throughout the course.


MBAI5410G: Digital Transformation

Semester: Winter

In today’s business world, it has become increasingly important for organizations to deploy new digital technologies to survive, grow and transform. This course will provide students with a critical understanding of the systems, techniques, tools, methodologies, and platforms needed to enable enterprise transformation in the digital era. Strategic and operational issues surrounding digital transformation, including project management, leadership and change, enterprise architecture/infrastructure, business process improvement and implementation methodologies will be considered. Students will also acquire an understanding of different technologies that can drive digital transformation


MBAI5700G: Business Analytics Internship 

Semester: Spring-Summer

Offered: 2024

The Business Analytics Internship course is an important experiential learning component of the MBAI program, and its objective is to provide students with practical exposure to actual work environments in analytics and AI, which is essential for a more complete understanding of the application of analytical and AI theories and procedures. The internship program permits MBAI students who have met the minimum requirements of the program to be registered. The result of the program and course is to further develop a student’s skillset and experience in their field of study, and provide them with an opportunity to gain actual work experience in organizations they may consider for future careers post-graduation.
